1. Rookie Andrew Shaw is just one of three active NHLers to tally 19 or more points in 32 or fewer appearances this season.
Shaw has 11 goals and 8 assists since joining the Blackhawks on Jan. 5. Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has 25 points (4G, 21A) in 16 games, while Blues winger Andy McDonald has 19 points (9G, 10A) in 21 appearances.
2. After registering a primary assist against Nashville on Sunday night, Nick Leddy became one of six Blackhawks defensemen in club history to tally 30-plus points in one campaign before turning 22.
Leddy now joins Keith Brown as the only blueliners in franchise history to record over 30 assists in a single season before the age of 22. He is now the seventh Blackhawks defenseman to appear in 120-plus games before his 22nd birthday.
3. Brent Seabrook is one of five NHL defensemen to log over 150 hits and 150 blocked shots this season.
He ranks third among Western Conference blueliners with 194 hits (behind Matt Greene and Mark Fistric) and fourth with 161 blocked shots (behind Francois Beauchemin, Ladislav Smid and Niklas Kronwall).
4. Marcus Kruger leads Western Conference rookies with 264 faceoff wins this season.
The rookie center won 5 out of 8 faceoffs against St. Louis on Thursday night, adding to his 264 faceoff wins this season (46.5 percent). Adam Henrique of the Devils leads Eastern Conference rookies with 479 faceoff wins.
5. Corey Crawford’s career .792 save percentage in the shootout leads all active NHL netminders with a minimum of 15 attempts.
Crawford has stopped 38 pucks in 48 shootout attempts, including making stops in all four attempts in Thursday night’s 4-3 shootout win.
