Bobby Ryan, Anaheim Ducks
Alas, no good close-ups from the front. I had a great shot lined up, and Ryan Getzlaf had to skate up and get his butt into my LOS.

Viktor Fasth, Anaheim Ducks
Hmm, another Scandinavian* goalie that “comes out of nowhere”…. #shadesofNiemi**
* “Scandinavia” encompasses Sweden, Norway, Denmark, & Iceland. Finland is not “technically” Scandinavia, but is frequently lumped in there (because most people think “Scandinavia” = Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark)
** It really sucks when I have to footnote/explain my jokes, guys! ;)

Bobby Ryan & his cats.
Was searching for a pic of his pair of kitties (Highland lynxes) but found this video.

I love Bobby Ryan. And I love being reminded of his Twitter hilarity. Funny guy.

In a strongly poignant moment before the Ducks’ game Wednesday, a Salei took the ice for the national anthem.
Aleksandro Salei, the son of former Ducks defenseman, the late Ruslan Salei, took part in pregame ceremonies with his team from the Aliso Viejo Junior Orange County Hockey Club Program.
Aleksandro wore No. 24, just like his father, who was killed in September when a plane carrying the Lokomotiv hockey team crashed in Russia.
